APPL Free Agents Privacy Policy

APPL Free Agents is operated by the Arizona Pickleball Players League (APPL). This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, shared, retained, and deleted when you use the APPL Free Agents app.

Information We Collect

APPL Free Agents may collect and store:

  • Your verified mobile phone number, used for account authentication.
  • Your email address, used for APPL communications and account administration.
  • Your player profile information, including your name, profile photo, gender, skilllevel, region, age bracket interests, team interests, availability, preferred courts, and information you choose to include in your About Me section.
  • Your connections and chat messages with other APPL Free Agents users.
  • Information necessary to operate, secure, and administer your account.

Information Other Players Can See

Other eligible APPL Free Agents users may see the information you choose to include in your player profile. Your phone number and email address are not displayed in the Marketplace or shared with other players through your profile.

How We Use Your Information

APPL uses your information to:

  • Authenticate and administer your account.
  • Display your player profile to other eligible users when your player card is visible.
  • Help players connect and communicate with one another.
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve APPL Free Agents.
  • Communicate with you about APPL Free Agents and related APPL matters.
  • Enforce APPL policies and address misuse of the service.

Service Providers and Data Sharing

APPL does not sell your personal information.

APPL Free Agents uses third-party service providers for services such as cloud hosting, database services, authentication, file storage, and application infrastructure. These providers may process information on APPL’s behalf as necessary to operate and secure
APPL Free Agents.

APPL may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect APPL, its users, or the security and integrity of the service.

Player Card Visibility

You may hide your player card from other players without permanently deleting your account. Hiding your player card does not necessarily delete your profile, connections, chats, or account information.

APPL may also automatically hide player cards after an extended period of inactivity. Opening and using the app may restore your player card unless you have chosen to hide it manually.

Account Suspension

APPL may suspend access to APPL Free Agents when necessary to enforce applicable rules, policies, or standards of conduct.

Account and Data Deletion

You may request permanent deletion of your APPL Free Agents account through the deletion process provided by the app. Permanent deletion is different from temporarily hiding your player card.

When an account is permanently deleted, APPL deletes personal information associated with the account in accordance with its data-deletion procedures, except for information that APPL may need to retain for legitimate purposes such as security, fraud or abuse prevention, legal obligations, or enforcement of APPL policies.

Data Security

APPL uses reasonable technical and administrative measures designed to protect information associated with APPL Free Agents. However, no electronic system can guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

APPL may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If an update requires renewed acceptance, you will be asked to review and accept the updated Privacy Policy before continuing to use APPL Free Agents.
