Carol has not played since 2023. The final match of the season in the final game it bumped her to 4.01 and she wants to play 3.5

Played one match (6 games), lost all games, earned only 2 APPL points and was pickled twice. Player believes he more accurately should have started as 3.0 and would like to play on a 65+ 3.0 team in 2026

Michael played in the APPL league 2023-2025. He is 75 yo, his current APPL Index Rating is 3.66 and he would like to appeal/play 3.0. In 2023, his rating was not affected due to playing in a merged/pilot division. In 2024, he played in a combined 50+/65+ 3.5 flight, won 6 games and lost 18 games. In 2025, he played in a 65+ 3.5 flight, won 18 games and lost 18 games. He is requesting an appeal based on a medical condition, arthritis/tendonitis in his playing wrist. Based on last year results, he seems to be at the correct level (3.5)

In 2025 Suzanne played both mixed and gender doubles.

5 wins and 15 losses. Earned 5 appl points in 15 losses
allowed 4 appl points in 5 wins

Mixed:
6 wins and 16 losses Earned 6 appl points in 16 losses and allowed 4 appl points in 6 wins

Dupr is 2.943 She said she played injured last year. Player is 72 years old.

The only thing that makes me want to honor the appeal is the injury and the dupr rating. Her wins and loses do not support it but at 72 she is still playing so maybe she earns it by determination.

Nancy has been a solid 3.0 player for several years. As a coach/captain, Nancy ends up playing with the players no one else wants to play with. Nancy has a good well rounded game. She dinks, can do overheads and thinks about strategy. Nancy is very slightly built and I believe her lack of strength is the only thing that keeps her from being a 3.5 player. I would approve Nancy's appeal as she has done the work to be a 3.0 but constantly puts others first. Her average rating this past year is 2.917 which is well within the auto appeal boundaries.
