Roster Rating Standard Appeal

DeeDee Cherubini is requesting a rate appeal from 4.44 to 4.5. She played 4.0 last year so is not eligible for an autoappeal.

DeeDee was on my team in 2024 and went to Nationals with us and was a big key to our winning the tournament.

DeeDee played on a 4.0 mixed team. She won 15 games and lost one.

She played in a mixed league with 50+ and 18+ women teams. She won 20 games and lost 4.

At state the mixed team took 1st place and the women's team took second.
Her DUPR is a 4.458

DeeDee is well-rounded player still in her 30's and could be an asset to Appl for many years to come.

I request that she be allowed to to appeal to 4.5

Sean should have been playing 4.0 last year. His capt rated him at 4.5 as a new player to allow room for others on his 4.5 team. He realized he should be playing 4.0 as the season transpired.
He needs to be on 4.0 and establish his rating this year at that level.

Curtis Simpson is one of the players that caused a great deal of complaints last year regarding sandbagging. He played as a captain rated player on a 3.5 tear. He won 95 games and lost 7. At state he won 16 games and lost 3. Regular season saw him score 7 appl points in 7 losses and state had 4 appl points scored in 8 losses. Regular season saw 33 appl points scored against him in 95 wins and 5 appl points in 16 wins at state.

His dupr is 3.956. HOWEVER he plays round robin mixers at an indoor club weekly with rotating partners for that dupr score. His dupr has never been over 4.0. Pb brackets is all blurred out and I cannot see it. I do not recommend approval of the appeal

Ron played in a 50/65 40 45 mixed league.
His rating went to 4.53 at last game from a 4.5 even. The highest he got all year was 4.55 mid season.

He plays out of Tubac which has no 4.5 team.
He won 19 games and lost 5.
He allowed 10 points and actually split 8 games. He earned 4 points.

Due to the barely over, last match, no place to play in Tubac I ask for approval.

Dupr is 4.42. Last match was one year ago.

In mixed he won 21 games and lost 16. He scored 16 appl points in those 16 losses and allowed 11 in the 21 wins.
in mens he won 13 and lost 11 scoring 7 appl points in the 11 losses and allowing 7 appl points in the 13 wins.

he basically pretty much split everything on both teams. He did better within the mixed, he played regularly with his wife.

In his mixed matches he jumped .09 in the first three games. then he dropped down .01 in next two and back up 1.12 in the third one.

in mens he dropped .01, then went back up 1.01 and then down. .01 and then back up 1.12.

While he says he 'didn't win anything' in tournaments he regularly took silver and one bronze. That means he made it to the medal rounds. This was in 4.0. these were in 21-23

His dupr is currently 4.475 and stale since 2023. At one time his dupr got as high as 4.771 in 23.

He may not have competed in the last couple of years but he played 61 games last year which definitely gives a picture of what he is capable of even though he says 60 is not enough to give him an index.

He will end up playing in the same league next year as he did this year with combined 4.0 and 4.5. I think he will do well and should be a 4.5

Wayne consistently went over 4.5 throughout the 2025 season. To make it over that 4.5 skill level takes good consistent playing esp. with as many games as he played on two teams.
Wayne played with multiple partners and performed very well thru out the season on a 50+ AND a 65+ team. Wayne will be competitive at 4.5.

We "cannot" go here with this one.....even with all the statistics they have submitted, it just doesn't add up.

David has a rating of 4.61 and was asking to appeal down to continue to play with his. same team at 4.0. His main reason was his work schedule. He also stated that he would like to be hooked. up with a 4.5 team if denied.

Since Appl policy is to deny playing down except in very specific conditions (usually medical) I referred him to Scot Ritchie who is the 4.5 coordinator here in Tucson.

Recommend denial due to Appl policy.

He wants to play 4.0 with a rating of 4.64.

Dupr is 4.228 and current as of August.

He won 41 games and lost 12.
He earned 8 Appl points and allowed 23 Appl points.

He played this in a mixed flight of 50/65 4.0/4.5
He says his partner didn't go over....his partner is fully .1 lower than him every week.

he is unwilling to travel out of Saddlebrook to player on a higher level team as his community will not have a 4.5 team.
