Roster Rating Standard Appeal

George is over 70 and wants to play in the newly formed 70+ 3.5 league. He lives at Saddlebrooke ranch. They do not allow outside players on their teams. He would make the 6th player. Unsure if it will be quad format or regular.

His rating since 2022 has been in the high 3.5's. He got bumped up over 4.01 on a three game forfeit from another team. His highest rating was a 4.05. He has no valid dupr and his pb brackets is all blurred out so I can't access it. His dupr rating of 4.42 is from 2022 with only one game, not match recorded last year and the year before. They were both appl games and neither one of them was validated by the other party.

2025 he won 14 games, lost 10 He scored 8 appl points in 10 losses and had 5 appl points scored against him in 14 wins. His record was generally split games.

George sees a podiatrist for chronic foot pain for the past three years.

Due to the 4.01 rating, wanting to play the over 70's team....recommend the approval.

Dana started at 3.30 and ended at 3.30 after 32 games. she had 14 wins and 18 losses. She earned 10 appl points in the 18 losses and gave up 6 appl points in the 14 wins.

The highest she ever got was a 3.38. Never reached 3.5.
I don't think it warrants the 3.5 request.

Tracey has a dupr of 3.896 and is .01 off of an auto appeal. She won 10 games and lost 14 she accrued 8 appl points while allowing only 3.

Tracey may have lost quite a few games but actually split 6 of those 14 losses. Only once did she actually go over 3.5 last season but I feel that her dupr and the close number to the auto appeal should allow the appeal to be approved

In mixed he won 21 games and lost 16. He scored 16 appl points in those 16 losses and allowed 11 in the 21 wins.
in mens he won 13 and lost 11 scoring 7 appl points in the 11 losses and allowing 7 appl points in the 13 wins.

he basically pretty much split everything on both teams. He did better within the mixed, he played regularly with his wife.

In his mixed matches he jumped .09 in the first three games. then he dropped down .01 in next two and back up 1.12 in the third one.

in mens he dropped .01, then went back up 1.01 and then down. .01 and then back up 1.12.

While he says he 'didn't win anything' in tournaments he regularly took silver and one bronze. That means he made it to the medal rounds. This was in 4.0. these were in 21-23

His dupr is currently 4.475 and stale since 2023. At one time his dupr got as high as 4.771 in 23.

He may not have competed in the last couple of years but he played 61 games last year which definitely gives a picture of what he is capable of even though he says 60 is not enough to give him an index.

He will end up playing in the same league next year as he did this year with combined 4.0 and 4.5. I think he will do well and should be a 4.5

Sue is a 3.57 player who is asking to play down to a 3.0. She is 75 years old and wants to play doubles with her husband who is a 3.0 and is 82 years old. She was quite sick this past spring and has had a hard time recovering.

Sue and her husband played together last year in 30 games. They won 22 and lost 8. They gained 6 Appl points and allowed 12.

Sue's rating bobbed around all year going between the 3.37 she started with and peaked for one game at 3.6 before going back to a 3.55. While she was over 3.5 most of the season it was usually 3.51, 3.55.... she only hit 3.6 at one time and only for one game of one match.

While her husband COULD play up on a 3.5 team due to his age, his ratings are continuously low 3.2.

with that being said, is she better than 3.0 yes, at 75 playing a a 65+ should that give her some grace when she plays with an 82 year old partner.....

My feelings are if they are husband and wife and can even stand to play together on the same side.... they must be amazing people. I would vote yes based on age. But I realize I am pretty tenderhearted when it come to things like this.
