For the past two years he has played on a 3.5 team with a higher than 4.0 rating...... while he will be the oldest in that age group he also has shown that he can play at 4.0. Never over a 3.5 When she played mixed her losses were 17 compared to 7 wins, 4 appl points earned and 8 allowed. That is a 41% win ratio in mixed. In gender doubles she was 50/50. She had five wins and five losses. She earned 4 appl points and allowed to. She speaks of two really dominant mixed teams and when I look at them I do see players that play 4.0 regularly in tournaments etc. That might account for the 41% ratio. She played in 50+ in both of those even though she qualified for 65+. I don't know if it is because Tubac only has 'x' number of teams available. I have reached out to Naomi Giles from Green Valley to see if she has an opinion on, or knows her play. No response She is qualified to play on a 65+ team if one is available in Tubac. Limited teams available there. I would be inclined keep her playing and say yes. She has 14 DUPR matches in 2024. 3.668 | |

His dupr is 4.42 HOWEVER there are only two appl matches in it that are fairly current and one has not been validated. The other ratings come from 2022. Since he will be playing in the 65+ league I recommend we approve the rating of 3.5 as he is only 4.01 and the highest he got last year was 4.05. Neuropathy makes it very hard to play so I don't feel he has any advantage. | |
