| 17878 | Southern | Dana | Blumberg | 3.3 | 3.5 | Rejected | Workflow Complete | Dana started at 3.30 and ended at 3.30 after 32 games. she had 14 wins and 18 losses. She earned 10 appl points in the 18 losses and gave up 6 appl points in the 14 wins. The highest she ever got was a 3.38. Never reached 3.5. |
|
| 17880 | Southern | Suzanne | Richards | 2.8 | 3.0 | Rejected | Workflow Complete | suzanne started at the given rate of 3.2 and ended at 2.8. Her rating progressed steadily downward. she states she has rotator cuff issues. |
|
| 17912 | Southern | GREG | SCHOENBERG | 3.65 | 4.0 | Rejected | Workflow Complete | comes from small Tubac team Last year ended 3.65 65+ mixed team This creates a hard dilemma for the Tubac team with limited players. Greg has a much better win loss record in 65+ than in 50 + he definitely qualifies for the 65+ no exception limit. check to see the number of exceptions on 50+ already |
|
| 17919 | Southern | Sue K | Smith | 3.90 | 4.0 | Approved | Workflow Complete | qualifies as fast track appeal | |
| 17920 | Southern | Mary Ann | Garman | 3.23 | 3.5 | Rejected | Workflow Complete | appeal is not warranted. Lost 13 games, won one. HOWEVER she would qualify for the new 65+ rule if she actually plays on a 65+ team. how should this be handled |
|
| 17922 | Southern | Leah | Hewitt | 3.91 | 4.0 | Approved | Workflow Complete | qualifies as a fast track appeal | |
| 17938 | Southern | James | A Strickland | 2.78 | 3.0 | Approved | Workflow Complete | This one was a real pain. I had to look up every single person played as there is no indication within the rating if they were the 18+ team.....ugh As a 50+ player. He won 15 games, lost 23 Against the 18+ he won 2 games, lost 8 This player was born in 1961 In his losses he lost 1 game to players born in 1976 and 1979 3 of his games lost were to people less than 10 years younger than him. In the 18+ matches his rating dropped a total of .15. Added back into his final rating that brings him to a 2.93. Enough for an auto appeal. | |
| 17942 | Southern | Dahlia | Bowden | 3.25 | 3.5 | Rejected | Workflow Complete | Dahlia at 3.0 with her rating being set at 3.2 as a new appl player. She had 12 wins and 12 losses 5 appl pts earned and 3 allowed. Her ending rating was a 3.25 She is under 65 so no auto approval. While she says her coach says she should play up, her appl numbers do not warrant an appeal up. There is no data to suggest she is ready for 3.5 |
|
| 17944 | Southern | Ardean Nickerson | nickerson | 3.10 | 3.0 | Rejected | Workflow Complete | I asked her to resubmit as her info says she wants to play 3.5 but the data she put in says 3.10 appeal to 3.0, rejected | |
| 17945 | Southern | Ardean Nickerson | nickerson | 3.10 | 3.5 | Rejected | Workflow Complete | denied except for 65+ she wants to play on a 65+ team won 10 lost 20 at 3.0 Her scores don't relay the ability to move to 3.5. Only the 65+ appeal will help her. |
|
| 17958 | Southern | John | Pieri | 4.01 | 3.5 | Rejected | Workflow Complete | Started season at 4.01 in 3.5 division. Never dropped below 4.0. He was the only 4.0 in all the matches. State regular season bottom line is he wants to likely play on a 65+ team of 3.5. Final rating is 4.09 not 4.01 He seems to have dominated at 3.5 last year even 50/50 against the open age guys. While his rating didn't go up a ton 4.01 to 4.09 he played with players with much lower level ratings all year. DUPR is 3.6 put only one game |
|
| 17959 | Southern | Pat | Hawkins | 4.08 | 3.5 | Approved | Workflow Complete | He played only one game in 2025. Not even one match. Wants to appeal to 3.5 Both hips replaced with complications afterwards. He will be 64 in 2026 and have to play on a 50+ team. Rating is 4.08 in 2023 he played in 65+ and 55+ age groups. Played with same partner most of the matches. Their ratings were into the 4.0's and other opponents were in 3.75-3.8 on average. He started 2024 at 4.22 in a 3.5 league....I have no idea how that happens. His rating went as high as 4.32. It dropped toward the end of the season to 4.0-4.1 range while in 3.5 league. For the past two years he has played on a 3.5 team with a higher than 4.0 rating...... while he will be the oldest in that age group he also has shown that he can play at 4.0. Does the injury and complication give him the gift of being overrated for a third year in a row???? Last time his rating was below 4.0 2/23 | |
| 17968 | Southern | Kim | Hehe | 3.34 | 3.5 | Approved | Workflow Complete | Kim's rating is .01 off a fast track appeal. Wants to appeal to 3.5 Over the past couple of years of play her rating has kind of danced all around the 3.2, 3.3 range. Never over a 3.5 When she played mixed her losses were 17 compared to 7 wins, 4 appl points earned and 8 allowed. That is a 41% win ratio in mixed. In gender doubles she was 50/50. She had five wins and five losses. She earned 4 appl points and allowed to. She speaks of two really dominant mixed teams and when I look at them I do see players that play 4.0 regularly in tournaments etc. That might account for the 41% ratio. She played in 50+ in both of those even though she qualified for 65+. I don't know if it is because Tubac only has 'x' number of teams available. I have reached out to Naomi Giles from Green Valley to see if she has an opinion on, or knows her play. No response She is qualified to play on a 65+ team if one is available in Tubac. Limited teams available there. I would be inclined keep her playing and say yes. She has 14 DUPR matches in 2024. 3.668 | |
| 18007 | Southern | Robert | Salter | 2.83 | 3.0 | Approved | Workflow Complete | Robert played 34 games last yea He lost 24 mens doubles matches, won 3. He lost 4 mixed double and won 3. He earned 6 appl points in mens doubles and allowed 2. He won 3 apple points in mixed and allowed two. He struggled all year with leg issues eventually having surgery to correct it. He states that subs scores might have been attributed to him but I would have know way of knowing if this was accurate. He played in 65+ last year and can do so again this year if he so chooses. In adding up all matches both doubles and mixed his average rating is a 2.9. I believe that he should be granted the appeal based on that, due to the unknown of whose scores are actually entered and no way to find out. If he chooses to play 65+ he is able to regardless. Duper is 3.006 | |
| 18047 | Southern | George | Patterson | 4.0 | 3.5 | Approved | Workflow Complete | George played 9 matches last year. He won 17 games and lost 10. He had 8 appl points earned and 6 allowed. He played on a 65+ team and states he will be 72 this year. Three of the wins come due to a forfeit. He states he has neuropathy in his feet and arthritis. His index is 4.01. He wants to play 3.5 again due to the increasing pain levels. He has disabled plates on his car he states. It appears Saddlebrook adds their APPL matches into Dupr. His dupr is 4.42 HOWEVER there are only two appl matches in it that are fairly current and one has not been validated. The other ratings come from 2022. Since he will be playing in the 65+ league I recommend we approve the rating of 3.5 as he is only 4.01 and the highest he got last year was 4.05. Neuropathy makes it very hard to play so I don't feel he has any advantage. | |
| 18049 | Southern | Erich | Bower | 4.54 | 4.0 | Rejected | Workflow Complete | Played in multi-level teams this year. 4.0/4.5 18, 50, 65 mixed he basically pretty much split everything on both teams. He did better within the mixed, he played regularly with his wife. In his mixed matches he jumped .09 in the first three games. then he dropped down .01 in next two and back up 1.12 in the third one. in mens he dropped .01, then went back up 1.01 and then down. .01 and then back up 1.12. While he says he 'didn't win anything' in tournaments he regularly took silver and one bronze. That means he made it to the medal rounds. This was in 4.0. these were in 21-23 His dupr is currently 4.475 and stale since 2023. At one time his dupr got as high as 4.771 in 23. He may not have competed in the last couple of years but he played 61 games last year which definitely gives a picture of what he is capable of even though he says 60 is not enough to give him an index. He will end up playing in the same league next year as he did this year with combined 4.0 and 4.5. I think he will do well and should be a 4.5 |
|
| 18065 | Southern | Gene | Seifers | 4.22 | 3.5 | Approved | Workflow Complete | Gene is petitioning based on medical reasons. Bone on Bone knee in both knees. He won four games lost 8. He earned four appl points and allowed three. Gene started playing in 2022 with an Appl rating as high as 4.38 at one point. His appl rating never dipped below the 4.0. He is petitioning to play 3.5. He can play on a 65 team but only at 4.0 Gene's dupr is stale at 3.5 in 2021 | |
| 18072 | Southern | Tracey | Rathjen | 3.34 | 3.5 | Approved | Workflow Complete | Tracey has a dupr of 3.896 and is .01 off of an auto appeal. She won 10 games and lost 14 she accrued 8 appl points while allowing only 3. Tracey may have lost quite a few games but actually split 6 of those 14 losses. Only once did she actually go over 3.5 last season but I feel that her dupr and the close number to the auto appeal should allow the appeal to be approved | |
| 18076 | Southern | Aumi | Leber | 3.24 | 3.5 | Rejected | Workflow Complete | Aumi played both 3.5 and 3.0 3.5 3.0 It appears she might be a good partner but not yet good enough to carry a weaker partner. She went to a level up camp this summer and has attended multiple clinics through Cheryl Horvath this summer. Cheryl is a 4.5 player and a certified instructor. Cheryl states she is 100% 3.5 ready for this season. |
|
| 18095 | Southern | Scott | Burbank | 4.06 | 3.5 | Approved | Workflow Complete | Scott wants to appeal down from a 4.06 to a 3.5 which he played at last year. He is over 65 He played all 8 matches. He won 33 games and lost 19. that is a 78% win rate. he has no dupr | |
| 18106 | Southern | Jeff | Schmitt | 4.64 | 4.0 | Rejected | Workflow Complete | He wants to play 4.0 with a rating of 4.64. Dupr is 4.228 and current as of August. He won 41 games and lost 12. He played this in a mixed flight of 50/65 4.0/4.5 he is unwilling to travel out of Saddlebrook to player on a higher level team as his community will not have a 4.5 team. | |
| 18107 | Southern | Karen | Kelly | 2.84 | 3.0 | Approved | Workflow Complete | Karen is .01 off of what would be an auto appeal. Two years ago she was injured in a bicycle crash in August 2023 that broke her spine, her pelvis and her arm. It was months before she was out of the hospital and at home again. She did not play last year until May 2025 when she was finally released to do so. Karen has been down at ACE every single day taking lessons, working on the ball machine and playing with 3.0 and 3.5 players. Her tenacity warrants a 3.0 rating if nothing else. She was literally shattered into many pieces. | |
| 18128 | Southern | Ron | Jacobsen | 4.53 | 4.0 | Approved | Workflow Complete | Ron played in a 50/65 40 45 mixed league. He plays out of Tubac which has no 4.5 team. Due to the barely over, last match, no place to play in Tubac I ask for approval. Dupr is 4.42. Last match was one year ago. | |
| 18222 | Southern | Michelle | Marrs | 2.5 | 3.0 | Rejected | Workflow Complete | Michelle Marrs was unable to play any matches last year even though she was rostered on the 3.0 team. Her father was ill and passed away and she was his caretaker. She practiced with the team when she was in town. She has applied for a medical appeal. She has no ratings at this time of any kind. |
|
| 18272 | Southern | Georgia | Beletsos | 3.93 | 4.0 | Approved | Workflow Complete | Georgia is a 3.93 wanting to appeal to 4.0. She started at the 3.7 for a new Appl player last year. During the regular season she played mix play. She won 20 games and lost 10. During those she gained 6 Appl points and gave away 10. Many of her matches were split win/loss. It appears she 'can hang' with the 3.5 players and would like to play up for next year. I recommend she be allowed to play up as she improved from a 3.7 to a 3.93 over the year. | |
