Roster Rating Standard Appeal

I am writing to formally appeal my current rating for the Arizona Pickleball Players League Season Winter 2025 in light of significant medical circumstances that affected my performance during the season.

I underwent rotator cuff repair surgery on April 21, 2025, shortly after the season concluded. This injury had been impacting my play throughout the season, limiting both my range of motion and power, which are crucial in competitive play. Despite my efforts to continue participating, my performance was not reflective of my true playing ability or past competitive history.

Additionally, my partner (50+ Men's Anthem Spin2Win team, Steve Eckloff) was also dealing with a severe case of tennis elbow, further affecting our results as a team. Together, these medical issues contributed to a performance level that does not accurately represent our typical level of competition.

I respectfully request that my rating be reconsidered with these extenuating circumstances in mind. I am committed to returning to full health and to the sport, and I hope to compete again at the level that accurately reflects my skill and experience once recovered.
