I am appealing the APPL rating above as I do not believe it accurately represents the level of my play. I am requesting a revision of the rating to 3.0 so that I can play on 3.0 mixed and women’s teams for the 2026 season without those teams needing to use an exception. The support for the revision to my rating is as follows -
1. For the 2025 season, I played on a 3.5 mixed team the Scottsdale league. I was competitive in that league as I began the season with a 3.4 rating and ended the season with a 3.2 rating.
2. It was my first year playing in APPL and played on a low level 3.0 team. I therefore did not play with strong players and our results reflected the overall strength of our team.
3. I play extensively in Chicago over the summers and was rated as 3.25 by the pickleball pro at our club.
4. I played in a 3.0 mixed tournament at Trilogy (charity event for NPH) and achieved 2nd place out of 30 teams.
5. I played in a 3.0 mixed tournament within the Trilogy club and achieved 3rd place.

Overall, I have been playing pickleball over 3 years and my skills have improved each year. I am proficient in the basic skills of serve, drive and dink and focus on making strokes with purpose. I also participate in various group clinics as well as individual training at Trilogy. I hope you will consider my entire pickleball experience in revising my rating. Thank you for your consideration.
