20 wins 22 losses
gave up 15 appl points and earned 9 appl points
65+ mens team
18 wins and 12 losses
gave up 8 appl points and earned 5 appl points

This creates a hard dilemma for the Tubac team with limited players. Greg has a much better win loss record in 65+ than in 50 +

he definitely qualifies for the 65+ no exception limit.
He really should play as an exception on the 50+ team.

First a little history. I captained 3 teams the last two years for our small Tubac club. Two were primary captains for two 3.5 mix teams and co-captain for 3.5 +65 men's team. In 2024, I was 3.85. 2005, reduced to 3.65. Reason for both years....I didn't have a primary partner. I filled in as needed, putting others ahead of me as leader. Consequently, when I played, I was with substitute women who didn't have the same skill level. Uneven matching is always a bad result.

For 2006, I will not be a captain and will have an equal partner.

Other factors, Tubac cannot field a 3.5 mix team this year. I'm needed to be the 4th male for a new 4.0 mix 50+. I know my skill level is close to 4.0 in other play. My DUPR is 3.99. I'm a 4.0 at the Green Valley Pickleball Club. People known to APPL who have seen my recent play are Priscilla Scott and Carol Hamerschle. Lucie Desmond is another.

Finally, if Tubac can't utilize me as the 4th male, we will be forfeiting matches. Three men are not enough. Exceptions are being used to drawn enough females. Fortunately, we have 5 ready to go. Just need a dude....ME!
