Hello APPL Team,
I am writing to check on the status of my appeal submitted around August 4. I have just returned to play after four months away and can honestly say I am barley playing at the 3.0 level. For this reason, I am respectfully requesting to be placed back at the 3.0 level so that I may participate with my team in the upcoming season.

At age 65, with limited mobility, I can assure you that my abilities are more consistent with the 3.0 rating. I truly value the opportunity to continue playing with my team and contributing at a level that is both fair and enjoyable for everyone.

ORIGINAL REBUTTAL:
As someone who truly values the spirit of fair competition and team camaraderie, I’ve always appreciated what pickleball brings both on and off the court. While I was bumped to a 3.5 based on last season’s win percentages, the rating came as a surprise to both me and my teammates. I truly don’t believe I’m a stronger player than the others on my 3.0 team, and the results from last season felt more like a fluke than a reflection of my actual skill level. I’ve also developed new mobility issues and haven’t been able to play for the past four months, which has further impacted my ability. One of the main reasons I’m returning to Arizona this winter is to rejoin my team, and I respectfully request consideration for an appeal to return to 3.0 so I can continue to play with my friends at a level that feels appropriate and fair. I am hopeful I can continue to develop my skills and improve alongside my teammates in a supportive, 3.0-level environment. Thank you so very much for your consideration!! Leslie
