above 4.5 all season but fell last 2 games

Started 2025 in 4.0 with a 4.52 APPL Index

Played in merged pilot 4, 4.5 and 5.0 combined

My play was very competitive in the 2025 Men’s APPL leagues. My playing partner, John Stiepel reached the 4.50 level. Also, I played in Mixed last year & found difficulty finding partners that knew how to stack & play with a lefty. I felt this wasn’t a good experience. Last year I played at the 4.50 level in tournaments, felt very comfortable & medaled in most of them. Played in the USSA Golden Ticket for Nationals at the 4.50 level at took the Gold Medal.
I am registered at 4.50 at our Pebble Creek Pickleball Club (1,800 members) & play at 4.50 for Club events. Silver medaled at the Club Championship at 4.50. Very competitive competition.
Received the APPL Bulletin on 8-16-25 & would like to help APPL grow its team members in the 65+ level.
I believe that our new team (65+ 4.50) will definitely increase participation & enhance the experience of 65+ players if, Monte Williams & I (Marty Braden) are successful in our Appeal to move to the 4.50 level. If successful, I will be the Captain of this new team.
