Roster Rating Standard Appeal

• APPL history of results does not support the Appeal

I have played APPL league now for over three years. In 2025 APPL went to the Index APPL rating which included scores from matches in 2023-2024 seasons where higher level players were able to sandbag.
In 2025 season I was on mixed doubles 3.5 team our team went to the State Champions and got bronze.
In 2025 season I was asked to be on a Women’s doubles team for the first time, the captain strategy for the team was to place a strong player with a weak player and this strategy let to balls being popped up and for the other team smashing them down. Unfortunately, I was put with the weakest player on the team. The captain herself was in for self- interest. I had to step away from the team. I have a proven track record I can play at the women’s doubles and have asked to be on the 4.0 team in my community however, my current APPL rating is causing me to stay back and playing at a lower level. I am currently on the 3.5 team but it’s with very weak players and will be causing a repeat of last year. I am stepping down from the team and not playing in the APPL league for the 2026 season.

I truly believe in APPL and have volunteer at the State Championships for the past two years.
I drill 5 times a week and take private lesson. I can submit a recommendation from my coach Kathy Pederson who is a IPTPA Level II certified teaching professional or my past coach David Smith as validation of my 4.0 pickleball skills and dedication to the sport.
