Roster Rating Standard Appeal

Michael played in the APPL league 2023-2025. He is 75 yo, his current APPL Index Rating is 3.66 and he would like to appeal/play 3.0. In 2023, his rating was not affected due to playing in a merged/pilot division. In 2024, he played in a combined 50+/65+ 3.5 flight, won 6 games and lost 18 games. In 2025, he played in a 65+ 3.5 flight, won 18 games and lost 18 games. He is requesting an appeal based on a medical condition, arthritis/tendonitis in his playing wrist. Based on last year results, he seems to be at the correct level (3.5)

I am requesting that I be provided a one-year waiver to play with the Wranglers 65+ 3.0 team that is just forming. I am 75 years old, with an arthritic wrist, and must wear a wrist brace when I play. I have been under an orthopedic doctor's care at Tucson Orthopedic and diagnosed with arthritis and chronic tendinitis in my playing wrist. I just don't have the ability to compete well against 3.5 players, especially those 10 years younger than me.

Most of our 65+ 3.5 team from last year, the Wranglers, have an APPL Index just under 3.5. They are mostly near or older than 75 and we didn't compete well last year.
