Roster Rating Standard Appeal

As someone who truly values the spirit of fair competition and team camaraderie, I’ve always appreciated what pickleball brings both on and off the court. While I was bumped to a 3.5 based on last season’s win percentages, the rating came as a surprise to both me and my teammates. I truly don’t believe I’m a stronger player than the others on my 3.0 team, and the results from last season felt more like a fluke than a reflection of my actual skill level. I’ve also developed new mobility issues and haven’t been able to play for the past four months, which has further impacted my ability. In addition, I am 65 and playing on a 50+ team. One of the main reasons I’m returning to Arizona this winter is to rejoin my team, and I respectfully request consideration for an appeal to return to 3.0 so I can continue to play with my friends at a level that feels appropriate and fair. I am hopeful I can continue to develop my skills and improve alongside my teammates in a supportive, 3.0-level environment.
